BOINC is a program to allocate the unused resources of your machine to scientific calculations. Simply select the projects you want to participate to begin. The choices are wide spread since the search for extraterrestrials (SETI @ home) medical research (World Community Grid) through predictions of climate change on our planet (Climateprediction)!
The program can use the resources of your system in two ways: as soon as the screen saver starts, or when the computer is not loaded to 100%. BOINC uses the remaining resources so as not to interfere with the normal use of the system and its applications.

- Macintosh computer with an Intel x86 or PowerPC G3, G4, or G5 processor.
- 200 MB disk space.
- 128 MB RAM (Recommended: 256 MB RAM or greater).
